This Jabal Al Akhdar rose comes from the 2026 seasonal distillation, cultivated and processed high on the mountain by a family continuing a long standing line of tradition. This single batch required around eighty kilograms of rose petals.
It is an incredible rose, and one that sits apart from the more familiar profiles. Sharper and stronger in nature than Indian or Bulgarian rose, it shares a few facets with Taifi rose while carrying more sweetness of its own. The sharpness lingers, wild and elegant at once, decadence in a bottle. Despite its strength it reads as a remarkably dry scent, never syrupy, never soft in the wrong places.
There are subtle hints of the zest citron notes exuded from Taifi rose, but without the sugar like sweetness. Underneath the sharpness lies a dry down discernable in oil itself. The sharpness and dryness of this rose go hand in hand, producing a captivating scent from some of the finest rose in the world.
